  There's alot ofgreat things tosay about goldenstar but byfar the best part was the communication. Wewere able tocontact Samantha anytime wewanted even after receiving our puppy. The training was amazing and Iwould 100% recommend. She got toproperly introduce toour puppy and walk usthough everything weneeded toknow. Overall itwas agreat experience and would definitely doit again.

  People! Don't let the cute costumes and fancy website foolyou! ASK the right questions!! Wewere soexcited tomove forward but could tell something wasn't right. Intalking with Michelle (the main contact over ALL the litters), our questions could not beanswered. Wewanted tosee WHERE the puppies were being kept; pics/videos ofthe mom with her puppies, their environment and all they kept showing uswas avideo onthe specific puppy and the mom intheir “nursery”. The nursery isNOT their main environment; the nursery iswhere they show you apuppy your'e lookingat. It's like something was being hidden. WHY could they not show usWHERE the puppies were being kept ona daily basis orwhere they slept atnight? Michelle's answer was the “family” didn't want tobe inany pictures. Ididn't want tosee the family, Iwanted tosee the puppies. When weshowed concern, the puppies wewere interested inimmediately were removed from their listing page… red flag! Most breeders are particularly proud toshow off their hard work inthe safe environment they keep their animals. BEOBSERVANT! Doyou notice how many litters are being born monthly? Call AKC and see how many dogs have been born under the owners name… thousands! Many ofthese families breeding these dogs are Amish. Idon't mind that atall, BUT when you ask them questions, you aren't asking whomever is“taking care” ofthese puppies, it's their marketing person orthe main contact who cannot possibly keep track ofall these litters. These dogs are NOT intheir homes. They are kept outside and puppies inbarns with nowindows. That istheir view. Read other reviews stating their puppies were showing behavior issues; knowwhy? They push these puppies onyou at6weeks! They claim mom isdone nursing. That may betrue, BUT mom isstill showing these puppies life skills!!! They are being taking away from their mom WAY TOO SOON! Bottom line, ifyou can't show mea simple video ofall the puppies ina litter, where they're thriving and even apicture ofmom nursing them, something isnot right. Ifeel TERRIBLE for these dogs AND especially theses poor females being bred over and over.:(… – show

    We apologize that your experience with uswas anything but perfect. Wework hard tofind great homes for our puppies and doour best towork with their families even after the sale ifissues arise. The two female puppies you had been inquiring about back inNovember 2022were adopted and taken off the website after they were picked upfrom our home. Wewere very blessed that the same family actually came back and bought athird puppy fromus. Wereserve puppies when wereceive adeposit onfirstcome first serve basis. Weapologize ifthis was not made clear inour initial communication. All our puppies are kept inclimate controlled nurseries with plenty ofwindows, ventilation, and family interaction. Weunderstand your frustration with the video situation. Asa customer everyone isfree tochoose the breeder they feel most comfortable with based onthe information they receive. Weregret you never took the opportunity tovisit. Wehave made anattempt tomake contact with you topossibly find compromise since you left this review and have not received aresponse.… – show

  She isthe most intelligent dog Ihave ever worked with. Ihave trained two other dogs one dog was aservice dog for Guidance and cardiac alert. Everything she shows inthe first five days clearly indicate amazing genetics and potential

  We got our dog from Golden Star just under aweekago. Wewere amazed atnot only how well kept and taken care ofhewas, but how well trained healreadyis. Hewalks when wewalk but ifhe stops hesits, asone example. I’m already planning ongetting dog #2from them next year.

  Golden Star isincredible! Wepicked upour sweet Renly yesterday and could not have asked for asmoother process. Owen was extremely thorough when reviewing her medical records, feeding schedule, and overall well-being. Renly has the best temperament ofany puppy we’ve ever owned, and has already stolen our hearts! Ifyou’re thinking ofpurchasing apet from here, definitely doso!

  Bought anenglish cream golden retriever last May 2022. their farm isbeautiful, the process was smooth. but assoon aswe got the puppy the same day wenoticed something was wrong with his frontleg. Iimmediately messaged Michelle about itand asked ifthe puppy had any accident orinjury when hewas born orwhen hewas younger. Itook the puppy tothe vet which referred usto anortho specialist. The puppy was diagnosed with Angular Limb Deformity onhis left front leg which can becaused bygenetics, trauma orinjury ata youngerage, asper the xray and vet’s diagnosis. Weended uphaving the surgery which caused us$5400. Ireached out again toMichelle toseek some answers but never received any response, which makes methink that they were aware from the start. And When Ilooked back onour conversations, Inoticed inthe pictures she sent methe puppy’s leg was already curved/somewhat bow legged. Asa first time dog owner, Iwas overwhelmed with excitement, Idid notice this until Igothim. Mymistake was not asking for proper health clearances from the dog’s parents, not doing ameet and greet first before getting the puppy. Idont regret getting our dear Hugo coz heis the sweetest boy but Iwas expecting for some support from this breeder atleast. Weare still inthe recovery phase and hoping that our dear baby will bebetter after this surgery. For future buyers, PLEASE BEVERY CAREFUL AND ASK FOR HEALTH CLEARANCES.… – show

  Hi Owen, weadopted Gabe inApril and wanted tolet you know he's ahappy & healthypup. He's very social & loves engaging with both people and pets. Heis best pals with our four year old son who picked himout. He's officially 7months old and weighed inat 59lbs atthe vet the otherday. Not only that wehave many families that come back tous, even years later toget their nextpet.   We couldn’t have had abetter experience with getting our sweet Molly girl! Michelle and Owen were great towork with from the very beginning and then wedid six weeks oftraining with Samantha and wecouldn’t bemore pleased with our results. Samantha isAMAZING and even after coming home has always been available day and night tohelp uswith any questions that comeup. 10/10recommend Golden Star! ️

  Adopted our golden inNovember 2021. Wecame for ameet and greet when hewas 6weeks old and were pushed and pushed totake him then even though hewas not old enough tobe separated from mom and wetold them wewere going onvacation. Consented tocome back and get the pup at7weeks. While welove him and would never give him back hehas had multiple behavioral issues, resource guarding was terrible and bite inhibition was non existent because hewas taken from the litter too soon. We've spent thousands ona good trainer and underground fence toget him where heneeds tobe. His parents were not health tested and later surrendered toa rescue because they were done breeding. Please beaware that puppies should not beseparated from the litter until 10—12weeks and health checks onthe parents should beprovided. Would not adopt from them again knowing what weknownow.… – show

Wewish you would have reached out tous and talked tous about the puppy yougot, your experience and the parents ofyour puppy. Wedo appreciate how much you lovehim, that you have worked with atrainer and installed anunderground fence. Wealso have our trainer wecould have gotten you intouch with tohave answered questions about your puppy. Asfar asthe age ofpuppies when they leavecan vary, asyou can also read onthe AKC website puppies that stay tolong with their litter mates can develop behavioral issues ofdominance and submissive behavior. Also onthe AKC website itexplains the difference inthe ages that puppies mothers may wean them asto when their gohome dates are and what the dogs are going tobe doing, alot ofworking dogs and livestock dogs stay longer than aGolden would going into apet home. Since you adopted your Golden, wehave started the process ofhaving all ofthe parents health tested and have almost completed this with all ofthe parents, asyou can see onour website. Asfar ashis parents gowe dowork with aGolden Retriever rescue when weretire our adult dogs, the reason being wehave along relationship with them and they have avery long list ofscreened applicants looking for anadult Golden without all the energy ofa puppy, this isa great place for our retired adult dogs tofind the most perfect match for their new family and wekeep upwith their progress. Wealso make financial donations tothe rescue with every retired adult dog tohelp with their needs while intheir foster homes. Asyou came tous looking for apuppy many wonderful families apply torescues looking for anadultdog. Soit’s usbeing very responsible for the dogs, wewait months sometimes for aspot tocome available for them. Soas you see wecare about where our parents goand their well being asit’s avery planned out process. Wehope wehave addressed all your concerns aboutus, aswe have been very detailed inour reply.   We have bought two mini Aussie doodles from this breeder inthe last two years. The process isquick and easy. Below are our two babies Brian DaisyMae and SophieMae. They’re both happy healthy pups and wecould not behappier. The only problem ismy husband says Ican’t get another puppy next year.

  Picked upour puppy inJanuary 2022and the farm was very beautiful. Our puppy isnow almost 7months old and she issuper smart. She has been very healthy sofar and loves everyone! Iwould recommend this place topeople inthe future! Myonly downfall isI wish Iwas able topick from the litter ofdogs that are not pending ormoney put down onthemyet, but overall welove our dog and would recommend this place.

  Gunner isalmost 2years old and isone ofthe best dogs I’ve everhad! Hehas noserious behavioral issues, nohealth issues, and isalso extremely intelligent. Hehad only three accidents his first month home and quickly learned touse abell togo outside. Heeven rings the doorbell tocome back inside! Heloves people and the pack. Heis gentle with kids and babies, and has never been aggressive with strangers orother dogs. He's achewer soI never leave him inside unattended orleavehim uncrated. He's energetic and needs exercise. Heis very happy with his daily long walks and four mile runs! Heloves toplease and our family iscomplete withhim.… – show
